Carr is proposing to punish Comcast / NBC over failing to toe the line with regard to Trump Administration propaganda:
> In his post yesterday, Carr alleged that "Comcast outlets spent days misleading the American public—implying that Abrego Garcia was merely a law abiding US citizen, just a regular 'Maryland man.'" Carr wrote that "Abrego Garcia came to America illegally from El Salvador, was validated as a member of the violent MS-13 gang—a transnational criminal organization—and was denied bond by an immigration court for failure to show he would not pose a danger to others."
NBC had the gall to disagree with "dear leader" according to the man who wears a huge lapel pin with a giant profile image of Trump on it [0][1]
Carr is clearly wearing a huge golden Trump pin in the picture posted on his official Twitter/X page.
But I agree that the details from the Snopes discussion suggest there's little evidence of a "mandate" for his cabinet to wear one as per the title of the blog post I linked.
I concede the point that with regard to lapel pins the evidence only points to the lapdog-like obsequiousness of the FCC chair at this time. ;-)
As things are going, the citizens can look back into history how this went down in books, or if they prefer something more up to date, the countries he used to visit and talk about how great they are, during the first term.
And if the ongoing attacks on information and education aren't enough to show where this is going, well us on the outside can hardly change it.
I'm all for giving Comcast a hard time for being an overpriced cable Internet monopoly, but not for the content of their shows.
I hope some of these companies grow a spine.
They don't have spinez because they know they are in weak position. Who need to grow a spine are voters.

Thank you.

All that fretting / lawsuit over government pressure on media outlets from Republicans…
They were just upset that they thought they weren’t the ones doing it.
Censorship is going to happen, these are already the first signs.
Really, don't expect free elections in four years, if this administration gets their way.
I see we've moved on from "fake news" to "news distortion" to sound more legalese.
Only a matter of time until Trump and Co start going after the people who voted for them.
